Summary Under minimal supervision the Sr. Telecommunications Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of Denver Health's voice/video/collaboration systems and services. The position will provide technical guidance and leadership to the Denver Health Telecommunications Team and will work closely with IT leaders to set strategy and direction for the designated technologies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.Develop and implement scalable voice/video/collaboration solutions for clinical and campus environments 2.Working within established change control processes, assess the overall impact of any change to the environment and present associated risk factors to management. Perform change management activity associated with the voice/video/collaboration infrastructure ensuring service reliability. 3.Working within the ITIL framework, troubleshoot software and/or hardware problems for VoIP and network based systems with a focus on long term resolution 4.Create and maintain VoIP and network documentation 5.Train and mentor junior technical team members 6.Collaborate with other Denver Health technical IT teams, users, as well as 3rd party vendors. This requires strong verbal and written communication skills. 7.Particpate in a monthly on-call rotation 8.Establish and execute lifecycle refresh plans for the telecommunication team's systems 9.Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience1.Bachelor's Degree preferred.
