Location: Andover, MN Description: Our client is currently seeking a Electrical Engineering Supervisor This position will assist the Engineering Manager with leading and mentoring junior engineers and technicians throughout the development cycle to include performance reviews, training and workflow management.This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate mature skills and proven track record in design and development of industrial controls.
  • Design electrical control systems, generate and modify electrical schematics and panel layouts, assemble bills of material, develop instructions that describe the installation of control systems, and provide support to other disciplines
  • Research and analyze data - such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals - to determine feasibility of design or application of products and systems
  • Communicate with the sales organization or directly with the customer about product and system designs, performance and specifications
  • Responsible for design and development work on existing and derivative products and practical solutions to complex problems.
  • Invent, innovate, or otherwise use initiative and ingenuity to create product improvement concepts so that Rockwell will have proprietary technical advantage over competition.
  • Provide technical leadership to a project team to achieve product performance, production, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is preferred. An Associate's degree in electrical engineering technology with strong relevant experience will be considered
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in electrical control panel design with field experience throughout the product life cycle
  • Experience with digital design, panel layout, schematic design, ladder logic programming, and system testing and troubleshooting
  • A thorough understanding of electrical power distribution principles and design
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the application and implementation of VFD's for motor control
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical with Solid Works Electrical experience preferred
