Job Description - Java Cloud Performance ArchitectICS is seeking a talented Java/Cloud Performance Architect for one of our clients in Chicago, IL:• Expertise with various programming languages/concepts (JAVA, J2EE, Java Script, JSON, AJAX, Spring, HTML5, etc.), person should be able to read and write the code • Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures • Helps in building CI/CD pipeline and making performance testing as part of CI/CD pipeline • 5 or more years of experience in field of Performance engineering , looking at heap dumps, thread dump and doing deeper analysis on performance issues • Expertise with Kubernetes and hands on working knowledge in cloud • Experience with standard profiling/monitoring tools - Dynatrace, Grafana, Jprobe, JCONSOLE etc • Experience with standard performance testing tools - JMETER/Blazemeter • Provides tuning recommendations to resolve complex performance issues (response time, throughput, Heap, CPU and garbage collection etc.) • Performs in-depth technical root cause analysis for high priority issues spanning all technology layers/stacks • Models technical requirements to evaluate performance impacts • Deeper analytical and problem solving skills • Provide root cause analysis and Engage the appropriate AD partners, product, architecture team for issues • Must have working knowledge across all major tiers/technologies associated with distributed web applications (e.g. Java development, web server setup/administration, application server setup/administration, basics of TCP/IP and HTTP/S protocols, SQL, etc.) • Must have excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills • Financial industry experience is a plus • Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
