job summary: The Senior IT Solution Consultant will experience a high degree of interaction with business partners at all levels, IT, and vendors. The Solution consultant will work with business partners to elicit business requirements to build functional/non-functional requirements and logical solution design. This position is responsible for providing support for customers (users), and assigned applications and/or information systems, including software implementation, cross-functional integration, complex configuration, and testing. Additional responsibilities also include leading solution design support efforts and research initiatives for translating requirements into workable technical solutions and supporting the evaluation of third-party vendors as directed. The ideal candidate will have experience with Medicare concepts, Sales and Marketing applications and systems, IT experience, and/or business experience.Essential Responsibilities:

  • Practices self-leadership and promotes learning in others by building relationships with crossfunctional stakeholders; communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward; influencing team members within assigned unit; listening and responding to, seeking, and addressing performance feedback; adapting to competing demands and new responsibilities. providing feedback to others, including upward feedback to leadership, and mentoring junior team members; creating and executing plans to capitalize on strengths and improve opportunity areas; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Develops requirements for complex or specialized process or system solutions which may span multiple business domains by partnering with stakeholders and appropriate IT teams (for example, Solutions Delivery, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture).
  • Leverages multiple business requirements gathering methodologies to identify business, functional, and non-functional requirements across the enterprise.
  • Provides insight, guidance, and recommendations throughout the evolution of applications, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state by maintaining and leveraging a comprehensive understanding of how current processes impact business operations across the enterprise.
  • Defines the impact of requirements on upstream and downstream solution components.
  • Provides insight and influence senior management and business leaders on how to integrate requirements with current systems and business processes across the enterprise.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and prioritizes value gaps and opportunities for process enhancements or efficiencies.
  • Influences solution design by providing insight and consultation at design sessions with IT teams to help translate requirements into workable business solutions.
  • Recommends and advocates for additional data and/or services needed to address key business issues related to process or solutions design.
Required Experience/Job Qualifications: These are the MUST HAVE items. If a candidate does not have these then they will be rejected.
  • A minimum of ten (10) Years in Healthcare IT where the last three (3) years have been in a solutioning role that spans working with mid to complex systems; adherence to SDLC standards; creation of logical design documents; creation of solution architecture; supporting development and analyst teams.
  • A minimum of Five (5) years in software design experience where the incumbent used and worked on at least one of the following technologies during the last three (3) years. -Cloud technology, Oracle, Java, Informatica, or equivalent technologies / products
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or higher.
  • Effective communication skills with a variety of technical, clinical and management skills.
  • Sound understanding of SDLC working with Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
  • Should be a self-starter and be able to work with minimum guidance
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
  • Medicare Membership Domain experience within last five (5) years.
  • Prior experience working in a Matrix environment within last five (5) years
  • Prior Data/root cause analysis experience within last five (5) years
  • Three (3) years' experience working on projects or programs requiring the integration of crossfunctional technology and/or business solutions.
  • Four (4) years' experience in workflow analysis, including the use of modeling software (e.g., Visio).
  • Four (4) years in a leadership role working with project or technical teams.
  • Four (4) years' experience in business case development and analysis
  • Two (2) years' experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Two (2) years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above)
