Java Backend Engineer

APEX SYSTEMS IS LOOKING FOR BACKEND JAVA ENGINEER TO SUPPORT OUR LARGE TECH CLIENT. REMOTE, 9 MONTH CONTRACT. WEST COAST HOURS PREFERRED. If you are interested in this role, please email an updated copy of your resume to Wyatt at Position Duties: • Hands on development of Solr cloud back end platform. • Writing and reviewing code • Troubleshooting any issues • Roundtable meetings with team • Architecture/building application • Algorithm development • Testing (unit and functional testing of the application) Goal of the project: To create a cloud data platform using Solr Cloud technology. This platform will be used to harvest data and upload it to the cloud. Job Requirements: • 6+ years of experience with Java (Java 8 & above) • Soft skills: good communicator and good problem solver • Solr Cloud (good to have familiarity with it and elastic search) • Rest APIs and Web Services Qualifications (Preferred): • Experience in structuring and contributing to large scale back-end applications • Experience with Kafka and Solr (SolrCloud) • Unit Testing with frameworksEEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
