RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Hardware Engineer in Tempe, AZ.Summary:The Junior Hardware Engineer will work for an innovative Robotics company as a hardware engineer specializing in Field Service Engineering. They will be responsible for testing, commissioning, and maintaining the fleet of robots on commercial solar plants. Duties include development, assembly, troubleshooting, repair, and analysis of robot operation and performance both in the lab and in the field on customer plants. This position requires regular deployment to customer plants across the US and excellent customer interaction skills while assigned at a customer site(s).Responsibilities: Development, assembly, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and analysis of robot operation and performance both in the lab and the field Junior Hardware Engineer develops a detailed knowledge of commercial robot(s), software and hardware of the robots, and customer's onsite equipment for integration with the robot(s) Assists in the creation and ongoing development of robot operations and maintenance videos, instruction manuals and customer training media Regularly works with AC/DC electricity, three phase power, SCADA or 3rd party monitoring and the relevant software and firmware of the robots and site equipment As a Junior Hardware Engineer, you provide leadership that creates and fosters best-in-industry levels of customer satisfaction Other duties as may be required or assignedREQUIREMENTS: BS degree in Electrical Engineering preferred 3+ years of experience in electrical, electronic and/or network communications are required Prior experience working in Linux based systems, ROS and/or Python programming experience is preferred Prior experience in the solar energy industry and on-site field services strongly preferred Prior experience with electrical/mechanical systems is preferred Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is required Solder, wiring, and mechanical assembly skills or willingness to learn Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required; German and/or Spanish language skills are a plus Willingness to travel domestically (about 30% and mostly to neighboring states)Physical Demands: The physical demands of this position are limited to those found in a normal field site environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to work, stand, walk, talk, hear, look, and see The employee is frequently required to lift, move, push, pull, use the hands to manipulate objects, drive, and type The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach above the shoulder, stoop, bend, squat, and kneel The employee must routinely lift-up to 50 poundsKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
