RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager in Miramar, FL.Summary:The Infrastructure Project Manager has accountability for leading projects, work efforts and to deliver on time, on budget and on scope. Responsibilities include planning, managing, coordinating, implementing, and delivering project solutions that meet business requirements. The Infrastructure Project Manager manages project team and outside vendors to ensure successful services delivery. The candidate will also consult with and develop technical resources for methods, procedures and standards and working with third-party vendors to implement final solution.Scope of work:The Infrastructure Project Manager manages a team of DBAs, business analysts, Infrastructure, Network, Data Center and software engineers to manage mission-critical, high-visibility applications and hardware in direct support of company business objectives. The ideal candidate for this role has Infrastructure background in addition to a deep and modern project management foundation (Waterfall and Agile). The Infrastructure Project Manager is expected to continually evolve internal development processes/procedures, effectively manage a team of 5 - 20 DBAs, engineers, business users and deliver projects on time and budget.Duties: Infrastructure Project Manager will determine the project approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule Develop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for the project's schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience; The resulting estimates account for all activities in the project scope, including project management and application development tasks, software quality assurance reviews, and vendor and contract management activities Define team member roles and expectations, and ensure timely feedback; Ensure that project resources receive any necessary training and are used effectivelyREQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Project Management (Waterfall and Agile methodology), preferably in a technical environment Must have strong managing Infrastructure project management experience dealing with outside Vendors Proven team leadership or project management experience Must have solid understanding of full project life cycle and management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) Must have excellent communication (oral and written) and interface effectively with all levels of management as well as the technical team, and concisely, logically, and accurately present issues verbally and in written format Effectively coordinate communications between/among cross functional teams, resolve conflict and maintain confidentiality Strong problem-solving, supervisory experience, and team leadership skills Must be a strong team player and have good interpersonal and collaborative skills Fosters a team environment and demonstrates the ability to promote the team environment, yet work individually on each person's skill development Must possess excellent organizational, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple tasks Reliable, self-motivated, and focused on high quality delivery of work products; Willing to accept responsibility and accountability Outstanding motivational, people and task management skills Ability to work well with a wide variety of people with varying technical skill sets and business knowledge is required (from the very abstract to the very granular)Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
