Business Systems AnalystOverview of Position Analyzes complex business problems to be solved within legacy and developing systems. Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in determining business needs and translating those needs into requirements for IT personnel to build future tools, and works to develop processes and procedures in a cost-effective manner. They will work with external clients, internal support analysts, engineering, and development to troubleshoot, research and solve complex problems. The candidate should be comfortable managing multiple issues with multiple stakeholders at the same time, while providing timely updates to all stakeholders both internal and external. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are necessary for the position What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues while providing concise, timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders including CSAs (Customer Notifications) if needed

P ull and review transactions, logs, and other directories and systems as needed

Work with management, product, development, and engineering (programming) to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Work independently on issues while managing multiple issues concurrently

Ability to work within the team to achieve team SLAs

Work closely with IT personnel within Change Healthcare and the client’s organization to analyze, discover issues and implement root cause solutions

Ability to self-start, management direction should not be required for all tasks

Monitor all EDI clearinghouse processes and the exchange transactions between providers and payers to ensure balanced processing of data. Monitor and maintain provider credentials for real-time eligibility and authorization transaction processing.

What are the requirements needed for this position?Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience Healthcare EDI, /Business Systems Analysis in Healthcare, preferably within Revenue Cycle Management

Demonstrated detail-oriented skills

Demonstrated problem solving skills

Experience in ANSI 5010 EDI transactions including batch files and Real time, 837, 835, 999, 277, 270/271, 276/277, and 278

Experience with technical systems; ability to identify technical solutions for business problems

Experience using Unix and navigating Unix systems

Experience with different communication types (VPN, API, SFTP)

Experience in developing and delivering presentation materials

Experience analyzing data to analyze trends in data, including looking for missing data and following data patterns to see where improvements may be made to algorithms and processes

Demonstrated basic proficiency of Microsoft Office tools, aka Word, Excel, etc

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Strong written and oral communication skills

Regular Expression usage

SQL queries

Six Sigma experience or certification

Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Access

Experience in communicating to mass audience in written form
