CTEC) facilities in Englewood, CO oversees the design and architecture of Charter's multi-billion dollar network infrastructure. We investigate, select, develop, and integrate technologies and solutions that meet the needs of the company for short, medium and long term initiatives. This includes the delivery of the technology plan and future architecture for Voice, Video, Data, Optical, Commercial, Cloud, CPE, Network and Access.As a Principal Engineer 1 of Network Provisioning you will be responsible for support, maintenance and testing of network provisioning applications. A Principal Engineer 1 will demonstrate an exemplary ability to work on applications that span from L4 to L7 of the OSI model. The candidate will be involved in projects of moderate to high complexity within multiple environmentsMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a member of the team, you will:Configure and support network and service provisioning applications that service a wide range of CPE devices including Cable Modems, Wireless Gateways, Mobile Devices, and Set-top BoxesDevelop and execute test plans that cover both Functional and Non-Functional requirementsEnsure requirements traceability within test plans link to developer and architectural requirementsResponsible for code deployments and smoke testing for various applications within a lab environmentBuild and configure VM servers using vCenter and TerraformReview and implement new implementation guides provided by development groups, ensuring their validity and accuracyPrioritize and provide support for incoming tickets associated with the network and service provisioning applications within the lab environmentsJOB REQUIREMENTS:Troubleshooting using industry standard tools. This includes, but is not limited to HTTP debugging, Wireshark, Splunk, tcpdump, strace, etc.Basic knowledge of networking. The candidate should be conversant with IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, TFTP, SCP and have a basic understanding of firewalls and load balancersExperience with RedHat based operating systems such as RHEL and CentOS at an intermediate levelA self-starter who is eager to learn and able to work independently, but also who works well in a team environmentMust be able to prioritize multiple competing high-profile tasks or projects and achieve incredible resultsAssimilate, create, and review documentation for/from various audiences including their immediate team, development, architecture, and managementGood interpersonal skills that will allow the candidate to work and interface with diverse personnel and dynamic teamsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Experience with containerized applications using Kubernetes, Helm, and/or RancherExperience in with MSO technologies (Video, HSD, Voice, RF)Knowledge and experience with SAFe and Agile methodologiesExperience with basic scripting in bash, Perl, or PythonExperience with tools such as Postman or SoapUI for testing and validation of API endpointsKnowledge and experience with BOSS/BASS systems such as CSG and ICOMS and transactionsAbility to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional mannerAbility to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quicklyAbility to use personal computer and software applicationsEducationMasters or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or related work experienceRelated Work Experience / Number of YearsEngineering work experience / 5-10Project management work experience / 5-10PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Skills /Abilities and Knowledge Knowledge of company products and services WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment EGN601-CORP 298555 298555BR Here, employees don't just have jobs, they build careers.
