You'll get to:

  • Draws moderately complex components and subassemblies
  • Work closely with product team designers, engineers and PCB layout persons to develop Electronic modules for electrical systems
  • Maintain appropriate drawing and product documentation
  • Writes Engineering change notices and maintains the product data appropriately in PDM system
  • Assemble prototypes and perform basic experiments
  • Performs tolerance stack up analysis for electronic modules
  • Create 3D wire up and anticipated wire up documents for control modules and peripherals
  • Performs basic tolerance stack up analysis
  • Partners closely with model shop to get prototypes made

  • High school & 2-year college degree required
  • Experienced in use of 2D and 3D design software (Catia V5 preferred)
  • Working knowledge of PDM system (Windchill preferred)
  • Hands-on ability to build prototypes
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Electronics PCBs, heat sinks, plastic injection molded parts, die cast parts, stamped parts, and the associated plating process.
  • Must be able to work with cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of different prototyping methods is also a plus
