Job Description - Infrastructure EngineerThe IT department has overall responsibility for the business systems infrastructure, providing high quality support and development through effective, cost efficient processes to meet the business strategy The Infrastructure Engineer will be required to provide solutions that support the business strategy, balanced with 3rd line support and systems implementation. Network/Security/Virtualization and/or cloud certification desirable (vendor Certs, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware Checkpoint)SCOPE The Infrastructure Engineer's primary focus will be on the day-to-day operation of computer systems including hardware/software support, training, and special projects. Assist in coordinating special projects including hardware/software purchases, and system installation and optimization, backup/restore requests, maintenance and problem solving. Perform audits of all sites to ensure that they meet standards in network connectivity, hardware and software. Documentation of audits are to be published and maintained within the IT team site located within SharePoint. The candidate will provide administrative support for local and remote Cisco, Aruba, and Check Point security appliances and assist in the installation, migration, and maintenance of the company's standard Operation Data Systems for all current and new sites. The candidate will also work on new site acquisition integration as well as site decommissioning providing onsite support when needed. The infrastructure Engineer will provide estate management for all computer hardware, keeping an accurate inventory and coordinating replacement of out of warranty computers through annual Desktop Refresh (DTR). This position takes responsibility and ownership of the Microsoft SCCM and INTUNE Platform which includes hands on development, standardization, and management of all desktop infrastructure including hardware, software deployment, images, and patching standards. This role requires a highly proactive approach and will be expected to lead and drive continual improvements to overall desktop infrastructure optimization while maintaining a highly stable platform. Contribute to company vision and direction by helping improve technical practices, developing Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery procedures as well as choosing key technologies and issues to address as the business grows. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain knowledge and expertise by learning new and evolving technologies.
  • Site Auditor
- Assess problematic sites and working through resolving their issues in a systematic way - Provide Training and/or documentation to site employees to promote employee's ability to use hardware/software to standard levels with the ability for problem solving - Manage Microsoft Office licensing (F1 user conversion to E3 where needed) - SharePoint coordination, manage and/or create team sites when necessary
  • Technical Liaison for Service Desk, IMS, and Technical Services employees.
- Train Support Personnel when needed, in using standard software (i.e. MS Skype for Business, Teams, OneDrive, Share Point team sites, Citrix, Kronos, etc.) - Operational data system rollout for current and new sites - New site acquisition integration - Travel to sites when needed, install/repair/upgrade and train standard suite, audit and document if needed. - Site Decommission - Travel to sites when needed to assist in decommissioning and reclaiming hardware and mobile devices.
  • Hardware Management/Desktop refresh
- Manage existing computer desktop and laptop estate - Coordinating break/fix and annual refresh process for warranty expired hardware - Manage/coordinate installation, upgrade, or deployment projects, including providing on-site direction
  • SCCM and INTUNE Administration
- OS deployment/ building and updating images - Creating / advertising package and applications - Building queries, reports / dashboards - Patch deployment via SCCM - Troubleshooting SCCM client - Manage the Apple DEP (Device Enrollment Program) - Management of Mobile devices and iPads via INTUNE - Manage INTUNE licensing and assignments through the O365 Administrative portal
  • Assist in developing Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery procedures and carry out related testing.
  • Understand and adhere to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Essential ITIL Foundation
  • Experience in Active Directory 2012/2016; Windows Server 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016, and 2019 platforms, Microsoft Exchange Server, SCCM and Intune.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Very strong influencing and communication skills (written and verbal)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience as an IT Support Professional.
