Identified candidate will be responsible for providing focused, consultation?based services to patients and providers as a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) using a Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model of service delivery. Duties also include supervision of family medicine residents, medical students, and psychology residents/fellows/externs in behavioral medicine withinPCBHconsultation model at the Harlingen Multispecialty and other clinics affiliated with UT HealthRGV. Candidates will facilitate behavioral science curriculum implementation and teaching for the Family Medicine and other learners including, but not limited toPCBHrotation for residents; completing resident training evaluations and providing feedback to residents and other learners about patient-provider style and interaction. To facilitate clinical and academic roles, the position will have .8FTEdedicated to patient care, clinical teaching, supervision of learners on rotation (residents, medical students, psychology / behavioral health trainees) with .2FTEdedicated to academic and research work. Academic rank will be awarded commensurate with academic experience and credentials.Minimum QualificationsPhD / PsyDDiscipline Specific Required QualificationsCandidates must have a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology, family therapy, or social work from an accredited program (APA/CPA,COAMFTE,CSWE?accredited program) and have completed a clinical internship/residency appropriate for the field of study (APA?accredited internship/residency in clinical/counseling psychology / Medical Family Therapy/social work internship).
