Patient Services Representatives is responsible for greeting

patients and collecting, recording and balancing

payments.PrimaryResponsiblitlies:

Greetspatientsastheyarriveandmanages 20 minute waittime.

Assistspatientwithintakeprocessesincluding copyingrequireddocuments.

Collectsco-payments,co-insuranceanddeductiblesandissuesreceipts.

Managescashier boxanddailydeposits according to companypolicies.

Processeswalk-inpatientsandvisitors.

Answersphonesandschedulesappointments.

Managesmedicalrecords(maintains,files/scans,preparesfor schedule).

Ensuresallcorrespondence is scannedand/or filedin timelymanner.

Processesrequestsfor medicalrecords releaseand maintainsappropriate logs,etc.

Performsallother relateddutiesasassigned

High school graduate or GED required

One to twoyears of relatedworkexperience includingdataentry

Workingknowledge of medicaloffice proceduresandmedicalterminology

Abilitytoaccuratelysortandfile materialsbyalphabetic ornumericsystems

Effectivecommunicationandcustomer service skills required

This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease.

Preferred Qualifications:

ICD 9 and CPT coding experience preferred
