Job Summary: The position will serve as a liaison between the hospital
and area EMS agencies. The EMS Hospital
Liaison will work on behalf of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center
Grapevine to enhance current relations with our EMS partners while working to further
collaboration, integration and coordination of EMS operations. Responsibilities: Function as an EMS advocate on behalf of the hospital to
positively promote Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Grapevines
commitment to EMS.Manage and promote a positive relationship between the
hospital and EMS affiliations.Work with hospital and ED leadership on operational matters related
to EMS.Actively participate in internal and external meetings on
behalf of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Grapevine related to EMS
services (NTRAC, area EMS/FD meetings).Facilitate performance improvement and quality outcomes of
emergency medical services by preparing and monitoring EMS data/metrics to identify
trends and opportunities.Work to assure proper data capture and timely reporting of relevant
metrics to EMS agencies.Plan and facilitate monthly Hospital & EMS meetings by
identifying agenda topics, to include sharing of data/metrics, education and
recognition.Organize outreach meetings for area EMS agencies and
community partners.Coordinate and promote EMS and hospital recognition events
(EMS week).Remain knowledgeable on local, state and national EMS issues
to keep leadership apprised of opportunities, needs or concerns.Evaluate current and future EMS issues and trends to ensure
that hospital emergency/critical care services reflect best practice, current
technology and evidence-based care.Participate in hospital initiatives (hospital committees,
community and educational events) on an as needed basis. Work in conjunction with and under the supervision of the
Director of Nursing for Critical Care Services.

Qualifications:
EMT-P certification8 years of EMS experience BLS certificationExperience and familiarity with local EMS agencies within
hospital service area.Organizational and computer skills in Office (Outlook, Word,
Excel) and ability to navigate the electronic health record.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Skills:Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships within and beyond the organization.Must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills by being
professional, and demonstrating respect and dignity of all patients, families,
