This includes coordinating the selection, design, installation, maintenance, optimization and repair of Command Systems and automation upgrades.Requirements

Technical Leadership- Act as a resource for plant and district staff to provide support in trouble shooting, maintenance and repair of control systems. Assist in training and development of operations and QC personnel to facilitate the performance of systems and automation task. Support and consult with plant management for optimization of plant operations and to identify areas of cost reduction.

Equipment Selection - Review capital projects to ensure proper selection and application of production equipment and process technology. Assist operating personnel in evaluating new equipment and technology.

Project Management- Work with project manager to develop the scope of work, layouts, equipment list and installation of process control equipment. Over see the work of engineering firms or general contractors. Conduct quality reviews of project related to system upgrades.

Automation/Programming- Maintain, update, and troubleshoot all automation systems and programming soft starts, variable frequency drives, and plc systems. Regularly evaluate and ensure plants are performing at optimum levels of production, efficiency and consistency.

Manage Database- Ensure database is updated, old information purged and correct information is uploaded to plant and/or QC.

Business Analysis – Provide system expertise to business managers to design and maintain reporting tools and support these functions where they integrate with Command and Trimble systems.

Safety- Champion the MMM safety culture. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and MMM policies. Ensures that safety requirements are included in the design and construction of company operations.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent experience required.

Minimum of 5 years managing the electrical discipline in multiple production sites in a similar business environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledgeable in all phases of ready mix plant design, process evaluation, equipment application and project management.

Strong supervisory and leadership capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong organization and communication skills (both verbal and written).

Proficient in:

· MS applications (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook)· AutoCAD

Some overnight travel.
