WellMed is now part of the Optum division under the greater UnitedHealth Group umbrella.The Patient Services Representatives is responsible for greeting patients and collecting, recording and balancing payments.Primary Responsibilities:

Greetspatientsastheyarrive andmanages 20 minute waittime

Assistspatientwithintake processesincluding copyingrequired documents

Collectsco-payments,co-insuranceanddeductiblesandissuesreceipts

Managescashier boxanddailydeposits according to companypolicies

Processeswalk-inpatientsandvisitors

Answersphonesandschedulesappointments

Managesmedicalrecords(maintains,files/scans,preparesfor schedule)

Ensuresallcorrespondence is scannedand/or filedin timelymanner

Processesrequestsfor medicalrecords releaseand maintainsappropriate logs,etc.

Performsallother relateddutiesasassigned

Highschoolgraduate or GED

One to twoyears of relatedworkexperience includingdataentry

Effectivecommunicationandcustomer service skills
