Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry in their Charlotte, NC location. This is a 12 month + contract position.

Requirements:
  • Quick learner and self starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
  • 5-7+ years of Java development experience
  • 2+ years of JSP, DB experience & basic understanding of networks
  • Banking experience is great
  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in OO design and concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to break down requirements and find efficient solutions
  • Good experience and understanding of JAVA development using Spring, Spring MVC
  • Experience developing REST and SOAP services
  • Basic Knowledge of XML Schema, JSON, YAML and Processing Technologies
  • Good Understanding of Core Java Patterns and J2EE Design Patterns
  • Experience in JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks
  • Manage Client identified Risk items and Support and manage overall governance of CTMT applications
  • Should be able to debug troubleshoot the issue & be able to coordinate across multiple teams
  • Should be able to work on feature enhancements
  • Good understanding of application infrastructure including load balancer
  • Good understanding and experience in Disaster Recovery and ARC exercise.
  • Should provide weekend support as and when required by team
  • Experience in Remedy, JIRA , Nexus ,RISE, Splunk, blade logic .
  • Experience in Horizon, bit bucket, Jenkins, Application server (WebSphere/Tomcat) and the deployment process
  • Familiarity and good understanding of multithreading and caching
  • Experience working with common RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
  • Desired Skills:
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries
  • Experience working on high volume applications
  • Experience with SOAP web services
  • Experience with ORM, especially Hibernate
  • Experience in performance tuning with good understanding of JVM internals
  • Experience in modern JVM languages like Groovy, Scala (any JVM language)
  • Experience in distributed caching frameworks like Hazelcast, Apache Ignite, Redis
  • Experience working in Agile teams
