In our Business Analyst opportunity, we are looking for you to perform complex data analysis and data visualizations in a mentoring environment learning new systems. This person will be both proactive and reactive in working with the business to solve their data and analytics needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Drawing upon organizational subject matter expertise, use analytical tools to establish and test business rules for key business metrics
- Generate operational improvement hypotheses, create business cases, and perform data analysis. Collaborate with operational leads to validate data analysis.
- Perform data integration, scrubbing, transformation, and validation
- Communicate with operational leads and senior leadership on analysis and business case output
- Develop insurance industry expertise and understand data analysis interpretation
- Assist Catastrophe Analytics team with client-facing reporting, as needed
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 or more years related work experience
- 2 or more years of working knowledge of SQL scripting
- 1 or more year of Power BI
- Qlik, Tableau, or other Data Visualizations tools are nice to have.
- 2 or more years of experience using Microsoft Office especially Excel & working knowledge of PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple assignments to meet deadlines
- Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships with others
- 18 years of age or older.
- Willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
