The position is located in Guam and/or Honolulu, Hawaii. Job Description:- Provide recommendations for assessments of effectiveness, standardization, systems solutions, engineering efficiencies, as well as design and technical solutions, based on Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technology, specifically Extron systems.
- Provide A/V expertise in developing MILCON work products.
- Create, update, and maintain work products for A/V Systems to include the Installation Design Plan (IDP), Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP), Platform System Operational Verification Test (SOVT), and Transition and Cutover Plans for various MILCON Projects.
- Have basic knowledge and understanding of C4ISR engineering drafting, drawing review, drawing control, and related services required in the design of audio-visual equipment, systems, and installations.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings prepared in digital format using AUTOCAD software in accordance with Appendix Q1 of the SPAWAR Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH) v4.0 and be able to create designs for AutoCAD drafters.
- Develop bill of materials (BOM) and cost estimates for various MILCON Projects.
- Assist in Program/MILCON peer review as required. This includes identifying errors in content of GCM documents. The contractor shall perform peer reviews in accordance with GCM Quality Assurance Management Plan.
- Assist in integration support as required. This includes configuring and testing of Extron systems.
- Provide military construction site support for infrastructure checks, monitoring installations and troubleshoot A/V systems during pre-SOVT testing.
- Provide all test results to NIWC-PAC Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) in SOVT format.
- Two (2) years of experience with DoD design or installation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in audio-visual technology or similar field from an accredited college or university.
- Must have a current and active Secret clearance.
- Must be willing to relocate to Guam or Hawaii.
- Previous military construction (MILCON) experience
- AVIXA CTS-D and CTS-I certification
- Extron programming experience
