Solidus is searching for a Lead Product Development Engineer to join a team that designs and manufactures sophisticated power solutions for tomorrow's technologies. You will find the products in use around the world, in everything from wind and solar energy systems to transportation and industrial manufacturing equipment.As a Lead Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and participating in a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design, development, and verification of digitally controlled power converters. As a principal member of the engineering design group, you will help shape a growing product portfolio targeting energy storage, grid-interactive inverters, high speed motor drives, and DC/DC converters from 1kW to 500kW.Responsibilities - Spearhead electrical and system engineering activities for three phase grid-tied energy storage products. - Write and maintain functional product specifications. - System and architectural product design. - Lead a cross-functional team on new product development; responsible for meeting schedule, cost, and product performance goals. - Electrical design of system componentry as well as interface and control circuitry. - Support prototype design verification testing. - Support new product qualification testing. - Support factory introduction and field deployment of new products.Required Qualifications - BSEE with 8+ years of experience or MSEE with 5+ years of experience. - Experience leading a design team. - Circuit and system simulation, modeling, and analysis experience using Spice, MATLAB, Simulink. - Experience designing and implementing analog and digital interface and control circuitry. - Schematic capture experience (OrCAD experience a plus). - Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.Preferred Skills - Communication and leadership skills highly valued. - Experience integrating and debugging power control systems. - Experience with regulatory requirements for grid-connected inverters. - Experience with EMI/EMC qualification testing per industrial standards. - Experience in design for outdoor and harsh environments.Job ID: 4240Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
