Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer Associate Hours: 40 hour work week. Flex time is allowed, can be five 8-hour days, four 9-hour days and one 4-hour day, or four 10 hour days. OT is possible but not often, would depend on project deadlines. Travel is 15%. This includes travelling to visit project sites under construction, or team meetings that may be also on site or at other offices. Depending on location it could be renting a car and driving or flying. These can be over night, usually for a night or two depending on the situation. Degree must be from ABET accredited university or meet other requirements. The Client will not sponsor a candidate at anytime during the tenure of working Position Summary: • Provide civil engineering support for Transmission Line Engineering department • Utilize PLS-CADD software to design and analyze transmission lines according to industry and company standards • Develop functional and detailed scoping documents for estimating purposes • Order material for construction. • Create construction drawing packages • Attend project and team meetings • Perform site visits as needed • Competence in the use of computer software PLS-CADD • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software • Proper document archiving at project closeout. Minimum Requirements This is an entry level position for new graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in a program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
