Job Description:

The Route Supervisor is responsible for managing couriers to ensure a positive work environment while meeting / exceeding key metrics. The Route Supervisor plays a pivotal role in setting the standards for the courier team and envisioning new and exciting ways to push towards optimal operational performance. We're looking for a people-focused leader and experienced operations specialist to lead the courier operations .

Demonstrated knowledge in logistics. Strong leadership skills, ability to effectively communicate with customers and couriers to accurately assess their needs. Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment 3+ years management experience in a logistics, production, delivery or distribution environment. Develop solutions to different types of customer & operational challenges that may arise. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel concerned with sorting and routing of outgoing work; and personnel who perform and who supervise the performance of routes Interest in long-term career development

Knowledge of the Jonesboro and/or Little Rock and surrounding geographic area.

Selects, orients, trains, develops and terminates the contracts of all levels of personnel

Exceptional customer service skills, able to handle all issues to resolution.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Continuously monitors response times and associate productivity to remain compliant with account standards.

Experience leading driver teams and working with independent contractors.

Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance, resolve problems; and address staffing needs.

Demonstrate PC aptitude including the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to creatively solve problems as needed.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with critical delivery parameters.

Strong time management and organizational skills with great attention to detail.

Working Knowledge of D.O.T. and HazMat regulations.

Education: High School graduate required; Associate Degree or above preferred.

Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in the medical logistics, transportation or warehouse industries.
