If this is you, we invite you to apply to become a member of our team.Job Summary: Serves as the Associate Program Director at Texas A&M University College of Nursing for the Texas A&M College of Nursing in Forensic Nursing. The Associate Program Director, will assist the Director of Forensic Nursing with development and oversight of an effective model for delivering 24/7 expert Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) consultation and support via telehealth technology to health care providers in Texas communities conducting medical-forensic examinations for sexual assault.Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Eight years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Knowledge of management development programs and implementation, budget oversight, and strategic planning.

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Effective analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Education:

Masters of Health Care Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Registered Nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).

Preferred Experience:

Previous health care related management of multiple sites or departments preferred.

Experience working in an academic health center is also preferred.

Experience working with diverse individuals and communities

Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to collaborate across disciplines to effectively achieve program goals and outcomes

Knowledge of health care operations, budget and program management, contracts and sponsored activities, and HIPAA privacy and security laws

Knowledge of hospital operations, forensic health care, and telehealth technology is a plus

Work beyond normal office hours and/or weekends

Travel required

Responsibilities:

Serve as a member of the program leadership team.

Develop and implement a virtual tele-forensic expert response call team.

Participate in the development and management of budgets.

Establish performance goals and metrics to evaluate the success of the program.

Assists in development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the telenursing program.

Collaborate in development of the telenursing program for Texas.

Adhere to University and State policies related to the delivery of telenursing services.

Conduct program evaluation and implement improvement strategies.

Supervise administrative staff.

Participate in and report to the program’s Advisory Committee.

Collect program data and report to Director and funders.

Maintains compliance with privacy and data security mandates.

Ensures compliance with applicable regulations.

Facilitate relationships with internal and external customers and interest groups.

Liaise with sites to implement telenursing program.

Facilitate meetings with sites throughout Texas.

Develop education and training programs.
