We are looking for a JAVA Developer for one of our clients. Our client is based at Jefferson City, Missouri. This role is an onsite position and not a remote role. This position is open for W2 contract only. The client is an IT Consulting firm. Location: Chicago, ILJob Description: Mid-level role in facilitating the delivery of technical solutions which satisfy provided requirements while working closely with business analyst, technical writers and application tester in an Agile environment.
Required Skills and ExperienceJava/J2EEJSPHibernateStrutsSpringAjax/Java scriptPL/SQL Spring, Hibernate, Jasper and supporting general API’s including but not limited to Apache foundation Libraries). The resource must have directly verifiable experience with design, development, building, deploying, and supporting of highly available, distributed and scalable web services and applications. This resource must demonstrate:- Significant experience in Java, J2EE, XML/JSON, OOD, MVC2 n-tier architecture and related development tools and technologies deployed in WebSphere.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Batch jobs and be able to create standalone Java batch jobs
- Verifiable hands-on experience with standard JDBC
- Strong verifiable Experience working on DB2 LUW and iSeries Database environments (3+ years). Demonstrated experience in Application Database Administration
- Experience working on Web Services (SOAP, REST, JSON), Web MVC, Spring, Object
- Oriented JS, JQuery, and ORM frameworks (such as Hibernate)
- Knowledge of performance and profiling testing (AppDynamics, jProbe, jMeter)
- Experience using UML modeling methods for software design and documentation
- Strong experience in Enterprise Application Archive (EAR). Be able to review the existing application and consolidate the entire codebase into one functional and deployable EAR. This includes the cleanup of duplicate code between the existing multiple EARs.
- Development experience on the case management system is a plus;
- End-to-end application performance tuning, such as back-end database layer, application server/webserver layer and UI layer;
- Data warehouse solutions (ETL, BI, and Data Architecture) in the retail industry.
