Cloud Platform Architect in the Healthcare IT industry, you will be embarking on a transformation to the Cloud. As a member of our Foundational and Core Services Enablement team, you will evaluate Cloud technologies and drive adoption by helping lead teams through a transformational journey. Responsible for hands-on development and programming on specific cloud platforms/container platforms, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Demonstrate maturity and understand one or more of the following CSPs (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, IBM Cloud, etc.) and the perspective technology stack
  • Define Architecture roadmap for container platform adhering to enterprise multi-cloud strategy (kubernetes based platforms - i.e., Openshift, GKE, Anthos, EKS)
  • Be able to articulate multiple cloud environment infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Network, Backups, DR, and Monitoring)
  • Works with various business units to translate business strategy into discrete capabilities and helps to identify and build technology capability gaps
  • Partner with various business units on strategic blue chips to deliver efficient, cost effective, portable and highly automated cloud native and/or cloud agnostic platform solutions
  • Empower data scientists with the flexibility and portability to use containerized ML tools of their choice to quickly build, scale, reproduce, and share ML modeling results
  • Create and/or help teams to build Cloud infrastructure for on-going and up-coming projects adhering to Infrastructure-as-Code principles
  • Develops and maintains an architectural blueprint and evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates the strategic direction for cloud-based infrastructure platforms.
  • Owns the change request process and execution, coordinates with other teams as necessary.
  • Partner, build, integrate, and automate Service Mesh capabilities on Container platform driven by Business unit requirements along with compliance and policies
  • Develops and defines cloud platform or application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications
  • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews, to include cloud platform architecture and integrations
  • Work closely and sometimes lead cross functional teams (application, platform, security, data, operations and infrastructure)
  • Work closely with audit & compliance team to investigate, review and resolve findings
  • Design complex integrations with enterprise systems for Security, Distributed Tracing, Telemetry, and others that is portable across multi-cloud
  • Ensure CI/CD and DevOps best practices and compliance for application release and deployment
  • Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process
  • Production experience in large environments using automation and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible and CFT
  • Owns the technical development environment and works on the Enterprise team
  • Interface with software vendors, CSP account managers for support as well as application and infrastructure teams
  • Great interpersonal skills, team-work attitude, and drive collaborative initiatives
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years in one or more of the following: information systems, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management required; significant experience with multiple technical and business disciplines required; broad-based experience to plan and design highly complex systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8 or more years multi-platform, multi database and/or multi language experience
  • 3-5 years hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or other CSPs
  • 3-5 years hands-on experience on kubernetes based container platforms (Openshift/EKS/GKE/Anthos)
  • 1-3 years hands-on experience in python/terraform/Ansible coding experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience with Event-driven, Micro-services, and Serverless development patterns
  • 1-3 years of experience in emerging technology (ServiceMesh, AI/ML, BlockChain, IoT and BigData)
  • AWS/GCP/Azure certified solution architect
  • Kubernetes certification preferred (CKA)
  • Experience in re-architecting on-premise applications and migrate them to any/all CSPs infrastructure
