Job Description:

General Dynamics Information Technology, delivers next-generation IT solutions and services to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other Federal Health agencies. GDIT is currently seeking a FWA Product Owner to join our portfolio of Fraud, Waste and Abuse programs. In this role you will consult and provide technical input for our mission and IT service professionals associated with our FWA system programs. This role includes both support of our operational programs and business development and capture related activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
  • Responsible for innovation and end-to-end launch of products
  • Oversee all stages of product creation including design and development
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new features
  • Define the vision for the team’s product
  • Create and own the product road map
  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize based on changing requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process
  • Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates
  • Participate in Agile meetings and product iterations
  • Leads the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology
  • Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills and Experience -

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications, Marketing, Business or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of in-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Working knowledge of product development architecture
  • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication; including presentation skills
  • Ability to work with large teams
  • Understanding of design quality standards
  • Possess an Agile certification(s); CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP or other
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Health Care Industry, Analytics, & Fraud, Waste, and Abuse expertise
  • Possess SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Proven ability to inspire and train staff to provide technical guidance as well as excellent customer service
  • Ability to independently design innovative solutions to complex business problems and present solutions for cross-team buy-in
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and consensus-building skills with demonstrated ability to present material effectively to all levels of staff.
