What does a great Automation Engineer do?Working in partnership with application development, business units and testing organizations, you will establish processes and tools to effectively and efficiently design and architect test automation frameworks with a 'fit for purpose' in mind.This role allows Fiserv to accelerate their automation initiatives within the Global Business Solutions team. .Must drive, manage and lead through:• Automation Architect for automation needs and solutions, with primary contribution towards requirements, design, build, testing, deployment and maintenance.• Crafting custom solutions from existing/new processes to facilitate deep coverage of regression/smoke/patch validation needs, as well as in-cycle solutions.• Evaluate new technologies for their application within organizational needs. Design and implement mock services and components to enhance automation for shift-left testing needs.• Performs automated testing activities to include: planning, design, scripting, and execution, debugging and reporting tasks. Monitors and executes automation test activities for large sized projects.• Works with Technical and Business community to define the scope of testing required.• Coordinate various test-related activities for project delivery, such as identification of task dependencies, creation of test schedules, design of test data, and utilization of test environments. Post-test execution activities include error debugging, reporting needs and internal and external communications.• Manage relationships and coordinate automation development between different teams at different locations• Develop and monitor test metrics and provide timely communication to key stakeholders on a regular basis• Work with Release Engineers, Product, and Program Managers to determine release readiness• Works with multiple programs/sys-teams on projects of significant complexity within one or more development environments.• Provides mentoring to less experienced Automation staff and Testers.• Works independently with management and technical groups within the functions they support.• Utilization of business, functional and/or technical expertise to effectively develop and execute the test strategy and planning activities.• Performs other duties as requiredBasic Qualifications for Consideration:• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications.• 5+ years' of experience with designing, implementing and maintaining automated solutions.• Heavy exposure to industry leading automation tools and methodologies; tools include Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, BDD, UFT.• Experience with deployment and rollout of automated processes across multiple organizations.• Ability to drive conversations regarding automation needs, assessment of documentation, conversion into structured automation and corresponding reporting capabilities.• Interaction with TCoE testers, Development and Business partners to create a strategy around automation coverage, execution and reporting.• Participate in automation code reviews and provide quality-driven feedback.• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient testing and deployment processes.• Embrace emerging web technology standards.• Collaborate with engineers to design and implement effective test strategies.• Tools: Tosca, Jenkins, Worksoft, SmartBear, Selenium HQ, UFT, Postman, SoapUI, TOAD, Jira, CICD, Git, Swagger.• Programming and Scripting languages: java, java script, sql, Selenium, VBScript, .Net languages (VB, C#)• Extensive knowledge of information systems elements (hardware, software, network) and their application to business functions/processes.• Knowledge of testing tools, database concepts and MS Office.• Informed and cognizant of the key processes in the business and the business rules that impact the development and/or implementation of information systems.• Drives continuous improvement through all processes, including but not limited to, team standards, test planning, resourcing and test execution, as well as debugging, metric collection, and reporting.• Ability to work effectively in fast paced Agile methodologies.Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:• 1+ year of experience in Tricentis Tosca and maintaining distributed execution infrastructure.• Programming experience with .Net languages (Visual Basic, C#) is preferred.Travel required: 5%Who We Are:To support the total well-being of our associates, Fiserv takes a broad approach to our benefits.
