Senior Software Test Engineer

An employer in Carlsbad, CA is looking to add a Senior Software Test Engineer to their R&D team. They are looking for someone who can lead test development on all products created by the Research and Development department. After a product is designed by the Software Development team, they are responsible for being the "gatekeeper" and testing for issues before pushing these new products to the Systems Development team. They need to be an expert at diagnosing difficult bugs, testing on embedded platforms, and helping solve systemic problems. 50% of their day will be creating test plans and cases, 30% will include execution of tests, and the other 20% will be meeting with stakeholders, documenting, etc. They will be working very closely with developers to ensure functionality is working well until the version of the product is ready for release to the systems team. -Testing backend microservices-Experience in a Medical Device environment-5+ years of overall Software Development experience, with 2+ recent years in Software Testing-4+ years of experience testing commercial software in C#-Experience with .Net Framework, .Net Core, and UWP applications -Experience with Python scripting
