The Director of Ticket Sales and Operations is the senior manager overseeing all ticketing and box office operations for hundreds of events held annually at multiple Spokane, WA based facilities, including: Spokane Arena, First Interstate Center for the Arts, Spokane Convention Center, Podium, Stadium (currently under construction), Bing Crosby Theatre, and any future Spokane Public Facilities District venues. This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and executing ticket strategy for across these venues in addition to delivering positive customer experiences to ticket purchasers. Responsibilities include all aspects of daily frontend ticket sales and box office operations for the Paciolan and TicketsWest brands.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct box office operations and event ticketing staff for the Spokane Public Facilities District and Bing Theatre.
  • Manage all promoter communications for event setups including scaling, sales, promotions, discounts, group sales, daily reporting, etc.
  • Build, maintain, and manage events in the Paciolan ticketing system, including: single events, season ticketing, VIP packages, platinum seating, aisle seating, and seat level pricing.
  • Prepare event settlements, statements, and required reports necessary for event settlement with venues, promoters, and city and state governments.
  • Administration of daily box office cash deposits, maintaining safe logs, credit card sales reconciliation, preparation for armored car pick-up.
  • Manage Premium Seating, including Club & Suite tickets, Platinum packages, VIP, etc.
  • Personnel oversight including: placement, evaluation, training coordination, scheduling, and supervision.
  • Ensure all associates are trained to provide superior customer service to the consumer.
  • Attend weekly Public Facilities District management meetings.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, ideally with a major in business or sports management.
  • Required: 3-5 years progressive box office management experience, including cash management
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of Paciolan software experience
  • Experience working with live entertainment promoters, including, but not limited to: Live Nation & AEG.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead a team and the ability to deal professionally, courteously, and tactfully with the public and coworkers.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to maintain composure and decision-making skills in stressful situations is a requirement. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize well to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate and develop an effective working relationship with fellow associates, managers, outside representatives and agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Behaves with integrity and honesty and is open with clients and fellow associates.
