No remote or virtual optionsJob DescriptionDatabase administrator with at least 5 years of experience on production database administration and troubleshooting. Must have a good knowledge of either SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016 or Sybase ASE 15.7, 16. In-depth understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery requirements and solutions. Setting up and managing DR (Disaster Recovery) environments. Strong experience in performance tuning activities. Managing database backup and recovery. Responding to service requests and change management. Providing production support including weekends. Utilizing various tools such as Foglight to monitor and maintain database servers.Required Job Skills

• SQL 2008 / 2012 /2014/ 2016
• Microsoft Windows Failover cluster
• AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Database Mirroring
• SQL server version migrations
• Sybase ASE 15.7 /16
• Sybase Replication 15.x/16.x (warm standby, MSA, peer to peer and object level replication)
• Upgrade existing Sybase ASE systems ASE 15.7 to 16
• Performance and Tuning
• Backup and restore and performing transaction dumps/restores
• T-SQL coding , Perl & Shell scripting
• User management and security
• Experience in multiple or complex environment

• Experience in Foglight monitoring
• Knowledge on OS platforms like Windows, Linux, AIX and Solaris.
• SAN storage, partitioning
• Some knowledge of investment banking or equivalent environment.
• Previous support of medium to large server footprint.
• Candidate must be a team player and able to work in a "continuous deployment"/dynamic environment with a strong focus on efficiency.
