Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets.The Senior Principal Network Engineer role will be located in Arlington, VA.Position Description:
  • In this role, you will be the primary engineer responsible for the research and development of the Next Generation Federal SOC capability.
  • You will identify, develop and research new ways to interact with data and visualization to provide DHS with an advanced situational awareness capability based on the capabilities deployed.
  • Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
  • Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  • Conduct testing of network design.
  • Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 10 years related technical experience.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required. In addition, the selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of cyber threats, tools, and processes.
  • Awareness of the common cyber products and services, an understanding of their limitations, and a comprehensive understanding of the disciplines of cybersecurity.
  • Ability to produce results in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet iterative deadlines.
