Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)We're looking for an experienced security engineer with a broad range of skills including secure cloud management, automation, vulnerability management, and monitoring with a record of successful collaboration across organizational boundaries.As a member of the Cloud Security team, you'll contribute to the design and implementation of security solutions that protect our most important infrastructure and a wide range of applications. You'll report to the Security Manager for Cloud Security and work with Engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to improve our security posture. This is a senior individual contributor role.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help manage and mature our Cloud Security Engineering Program aligned to secure frameworks or regulations
  • Identify and develop cloud security hardening baselines across multiple environments and systems
  • Develop and run automated security configuration management, monitoring, and validation capabilities for on-premise and cloud environments (e.g. virtualized servers, microservices, serverless applications)
  • Support risk identification and vulnerability detection in our cloud environments and work with teams to design and apply appropriate remediations
  • Develop metrics and create dashboards
  • Mentor your peers about new vulnerabilities, innovative attacks, and practical security solutions

  • 6+ years of experience in a security or engineering function
  • 3+ years of experience in security-focused projects
  • Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Bash)
  • Experience with security technologies including secure cloud architecture, secure software development, data protection, encryption management, vault management, and cloud monitoring
  • Experience with cloud environments including AWS, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS), and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical role or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certifications, especially in AWS and Azure
  • Experience with cloud security configuration development, deployment orchestration, automation, and monitoring (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt)
  • Experience designing and implementing Azure security controls
  • Experience developing automations that consume APIs
  • Experience managing vulnerability scanners, evaluating and prioritizing CVEs, and the skills to automate detection and remediation
  • Experience in defining cloud security metrics and building dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Datadog, or other BI tools)

The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $58,800 to $104,600.
