Manpower Engineering is seeking an

Engineering and Maintenance Manager for our client in Glasgow, KY. Will manage all site maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance, equipment optimization and implementation of best practices throughout the maintenance organization. Reports to Plant Manager. Direct hire position offering relocation assistance. Bonus.

Summary of what you'd be doing:
  • Oversees the planning structure for all equipment and facilities maintenance, monitoring of projects, and defines preventative maintenance and shut down structures. Manages internal rebuild activity and automation projects. Manages work performed by all outside vendors.
  • Develops consistent practices, standardizes MRO and repairable assets programs as well as monitoring and improvement in common Key Performance Indicators for all areas of maintenance, improving the agility of equipment.
  • Drives initiatives that reduce cycle time and improve uptime. Introduces best practices in monitoring and maintaining equipment (mean time to repair, mean time between failures, reliability-centered maintenance, condition-based monitoring, etc.)
  • Develops and mentors departmental personnel with goals to increase the technical capabilities and ability to service manufacturing needs and trains to support excellence in operations and maintenance of equipment
  • Monitors industry trends, identifies and implements best practices and new equipment technologies.
  • Direct reports: 26 Maintenance Techs (plus 8-10 more being hired), 2 Maintenance Supervisors and 2 Engineers, and one QE dotted line.

Here's a summary of who we're seeking:
  • Four-year degree in Engineering or Technology or similar degree. Note: does not need to be a technical person, just need to be able to manage and develop the team.
  • 3-5 years' experience in maintenance or related field preferred
