Location: Hazelwood, MO Description: Hello,We have available with one of our top clients which was voted as the best company to work for in previous years and is one of the leading aeronautical companies in the world.Job Description: Information Technology Engineer The Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) Team is looking for an Information Technology Engineer to join the H/W Team. The HMS software acquires and manages aircraft health and usage data, performs health and usage assessment, updates aircraft configuration, and recommends maintenance actions. In order to validate the system will be compatible with the customer environment, the team maintains a development and testing environment that approximates the customer's environment. The environment consists of several servers as well as dozens of virtual machines (VMs). The team is looking for a highly motivated individual to support the maintenance and update of these environments. The successful candidate will have experience in H/W and/or IT environments. Experience creating and managing VMs or managing a network is preferred. The successful candidate will under general supervision: Analyze, design, and configure networks for logical separation Manage and document the configuration of the computing system Deploy updates to the development and testing environments as required to represent the customer's environment Design and document processes for maintaining testing and development environments Configure hardware in preparation for the Joint Test Event with the Customer Provide inputs as required for Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) submittals Manage the hardware inventory of the organization including Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Tests system and software as necessary to ensure proper operation Support other Information Technology Engineering tasks as needed Basic Qualifications (Required) Basic understanding of networks Basic understanding of VMs Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Preferred Qualifications :Experience configuring and managing networks.
