A leader in the Pharmaceutical industry is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team in Elkhorn, Nebraska. The Automation Senior Specialist will support startup, commissioning, and qualification on capital projects at our Company k Elkhorn facility. The site is currently undergoing a major expansion with new and expanded SCADA, building management, and equipment level control systems. The Automation Senior Specialist will work closely with engineers, equipment suppliers, automation engineers, commissioning & qualification, and operations to provide automation technical support for project delivery. Working within GAMP methodologies and documentation, strong writing skills will be exercised daily. Strong experience in PLC programing (Allen-Bradley), as well exposure to Wonderware will provide the technical backbone for this position. Duties:- Develop PLC and HMI code for new and in support of existing equipment.- Configure Wonderware new installations, setup VFDs, and sub-net addressing.- Open and complete Quality Change Requests and Safety Management of Change (MOCs) change requests related to project scopes.- Participate in Process Hazard Analysis exercises and complete Action Plan assignments.- Work with internal customers to develop User Requirement Specifications for equipment and process systems.- Support execution of Commissioning and Qualification Activities.- Develop and deliver training for automated systems and Job Safety Assessments as required.- Develop and update relevant SOPs to support project deliverables - Attend and execute Equipment Vendor Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing.- Oversee contractors and consultants to deliver projects as agreed with customer groups.- Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and Detailed Design Specifications (DDS) for small projects.- Review and approve URS, FRS, and DDS specifications developed by outside providers. - Previous Pharmaceutical Industry Experience- Wonderware Certifications and proficiency with application- RSView development and reporting experience- OSHA 30 training preferred- Proficient in Logix 5000- Proficient in Wonderware applications- Education in automation (Bachelors, Associates, Military, or Trade School)- Minimum 3 years of automation experience.- Configuration and troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley (Or Wonderware, Rockwell, Siemens, Athena)- Strong experience working and developing PLCs and HMI configuration- Great written and verbal communication skills working with internal and external customers- OSHA 1O training completed or willing to complete
