Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking a Downstream Process Development Scientist to a reputable biopharmaceutical company in the Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC developing new cutting edge downstream technologies to overall improve efficiency of operations.Responsibilities for the Downstream Process Development Scientist:
- Assist in developing downstream processes for the purification of monoclonal antibody therapeutics.
- Hands on GMP manufacturing experience
- Learn to improve the purification and filtration process utilizing equipment and techniques including AKTA, TFF, Nanofiltration, microfiltration, UV-VIS, etc.
- Write, review and revise protocols, reports and presentations.
- Ph.D in a related field, M.S. with 7 plus years of related experience, or a B.S. with 9 plus years of related experience at minimum
- Hands on experience with downstream manufacturing or process development in a biopharmaceutical environment.
- Background with chromatography specifically multi-column continuous chromotography
- Ability to work through abstract variables and technical instructions
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
