Job Description As a Senior Technology Architect in the CernerWorks Product Operational Engineering organization, you will be responsible for operating Cerner's cloud-based systems with the primary objectives of client satisfaction, incident free operations, and system uptime. Technology Architects serve as subject-matter-experts on the core components that together make up the foundation on which Cerner's cloud-based platforms run. We're looking for someone who thrives on working with large scale, distributed systems and is always looking for ways to automate manual tasks.Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:- At least 8 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education
- At least 2 years of system engineering and/or system architecture work experience
- At least 6 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering
- Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
- Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
- Experience working in a DevOps or SRE organization
- Experience with shell scripting
- Experience managing production systems running Linux and/or UNIX
- Experience with config-as-code solutions like Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Terraform
- Experience with a public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms like Zabbix or New Relic
- Familiarity with a log aggregation and analysis platform like Splunk or Kibana
- Hands-on experience implementing and/or operating a business-critical distributed system like Kubernetes, Hadoop, HDFS, Yarn, HBase, Cassandra, Kafka, Storm, or Solr.
- Proficient with an object-oriented dynamic programming language like Ruby or Python
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location
- Must be willing to travel up to 5% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
