THIS IS A REMOTE BASED OPPORTUNITY. Candidates must reside in the United States.The role will be supporting and expanding an existing environment from on-premises into a multi-cloud environment. The systems in scope are Windows OS, Linux OS, Axway SecureTransport, Tibco MFT Platform Server, VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon (VDI), VMware Carbon Black, Trend Micro Deep Security and Symantec Endpoint Protection. This includes support of multiple applications running on Windows 10 on the virtual desktops. The role will be primarily helping to support infrastructure as code using Terraform within Azure Cloud services.The Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.

Develops and directs tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.

Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.

Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.

Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities.

Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

Sign up, receive, review and take action on Security Alerts, Advisories, and Directives.

Maintain system lifecycle of responsible software or systems as part of System Support.

Review and take action on system maintenance and flow remediation.

Create and maintain pipelines in Azure DevOps

Create and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform

Work in a team environment on virtualization technologies.

Troubleshoot Windows, VMware, AWS and Azure product related issues and tasks.

Develop, document, and perform approved system maintenance plans.

Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.

Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.

Maintain monthly technical reports.

Research, test, document, and implement new products.

Perform scheduled weekend and after-hours work, as well as after-hours emergency work, as required.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Participates in special projects as required.

The Skills and Abilities:Proficient in PowerShell

Proficient with Terraform and Azure DevOps

Comprehensive knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques.

Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.

Professional certification in one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment.

Team player who works well with customers and colleagues at all levels.

Willing to work weekends and after hours when needed.

Work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Ability to review and delegate tasks to be completed in a timely manner.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business rules, technical procedures, or process documentation.

In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies and concepts.

Proficient with Windows Server 2008+.

Proficient with Domain Controller roles and functionality including Active Directory.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Supplementary Skills and Abilities:Working knowledge for AWS

Working knowledge of VMware products: vSphere Suite, Horizon View and vCenter.

Strong organizational skills.

High proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Working knowledge of other server-based software packages including Symantec Antivirus, BackupExec, etc.

Knowledgeable with enterprise level anti-spam and anti-virus applications.

Technical writing experience.

Experience with the following is a plus: Networking technologies, web servers, application servers (Oracle, JBoss, GlassFish), virtualization technologies (VMware and Oracle Virtual Machine), databases (MySQL and Oracle Database), Identity Management/Security technologies, Business Intelligence (Oracle BI, Informatica, MicroStrategy), help desk software (Remedy, Spiceworks), SAS software and administration.

Requirements:8-10 years Windows server administration, VMware vSphere Suite administration, virtualization equivalent, Azure Cloud or system administration equivalent experience.
