Job Title: Observability Analyst Industry: Healthcare Location: Remote or MN Description: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Observability Analyst. The Observability Analyst is a critical role that is responsible for supporting our monitoring needs. You will lead the effort in maintaining our Monitoring Infrastructure which is currently built on Foglight, Splunk and Alertsite. This person will also be responsible for building out dashboards, monitors, and alerts. The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years of experience supporting vended monitoring tools. This role will be responsible for maintaining an existing monitoring set of tools and help to evolve our monitoring for the future. The engineer will work on a team of 5 colleagues and have a call rotation to support other applications, systems, job scheduling and infrastructure tools. Responsibilities:

  • Be the administrator of our monitoring tools
  • Assist teammates and other Engineering teams on monitoring implementation and Administration
  • Implement and enhance our enterprise Foglight, Splunk and Alertsite accounts and its configurations
  • Maintain and prioritize team workload regarding incident, change and planning
  • Assist with building and improving dashboards. Must be able to understand and articulate what key metrics are useful to visualize what can be implemented into monitoring dashboards
  • Enhance APM, metrics, and logging capabilities as needed
  • Define company standards for tagging and naming around observability infrastructure
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years' experience with monitoring & logging with one of the major vendors (FogLight, Splunk, Datadog, Compass, Dynatrace, Metricfire, etc.)
  • Have experience developing and modifying dashboards
  • Experience with event correlation and machine learning
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and subsystems
  • Have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluent in one or more programming languages such as C, Java, GO, etc
  • Experience with Azure Web Services or other Cloud Platform.
