CAD Drafter2 contract positions through 4/29/221 contract to hire positionCan work remotely but training is onsite in Chaska, MN - client will pay expenses for out of area people.The role of the CAD Drafter is to be responsible for providing CAD drawing support for all pre-sales and delivery activities. This position typically supports multiple customers and continues to support internal project teams.Specific Duties and Responsibilities: CAD Drafting including providing CAD/Graphic/Reproduction support for new opportunities and projects internally and externally, maintaining project related CAD documents to be most current and being responsible for updating CAD prototypes on a per project/client basis as directed. This role will be constantly improving CAD processes, participating in Site Survey events to document existing architectural elements and preparing CAD/Design plans. Finally, this position is learning and maintaining knowledge of CAD requirements for each client, assisting in training and process guidance for additional CAD resources and facilitating final client CAD deliverables on a per site basis. Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent related CAD experience
  • At least 5 years of experience and proficiency in architectural CAD
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience involving industry CAD design and/or installation experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk software
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite tools (including Intermediate Excel skills)
  • Ability to accurately track, troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Visio
  • Understand complexity of low voltage documentation practices and graphical representation of physical layer devices
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and integrate client site data from a variety of sources and determine how best the information can be graphically displayed
  • Any relevant certifications a plus
