As Senior DevOps Engineer, you will use your experience and hands-on approach with next generation technologies to contribute to a team that performs custom application development work utilizing hybrid environment and Azure cloud native features. You will also coordinate multiple application CI/CD pipelines across enterprise portfolio and help with developing, implementing, and administering DevOps processes, to ensure successful and high-quality deployments that align with strategic objectives.

Location: Remote, Hookset NH, or Rosemont IL

What your Day will look like:
  • Implementing and managing application development and deployment pipelines
  • Oversight and maturation of DevOps processes
  • Implements quality control and review systems throughout the deployment processes
  • Collaborate with technology leadership to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments
  • Provide guidance to help project teams manage and deploy releases in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Contribute to defining the strategic direction for DevOps and Release processes to focus on automating delivery model
  • Create scripts and leverage software tools to explore new features and provide new customer capabilities
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
  • Creates and monitors DevOps metrics
  • Create documentation around best practices and common issues for system configuration and operation
  • Consult with the Infrastructure team to uphold access control, data integrity and file system security for the computer/data center environment
  • After hours and on-call work is required as part of the release cycle

The Skills you bring:
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps
  • Practical experience deploying Azure Cloud native resources
  • Demonstrated experience with standard DevOps tools
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks while staying flexible and responsive
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Practical experience leading distributed release teams
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Positive outlook with strong communication and relationship-building skills

Technical Skills:
  • Octopus Deploy
  • Azure DevOps
  • MS Visual Studio
  • GIT
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • Deployment Automation tools (a plus)
  • Good understanding of Microsoft tools and technologies

The Expertise you have:
  • Minimum of 5 years DevOps Engineering or related experience with demonstrated understanding of DevOps and Release Management processes, artifacts, and tools
  • Experience with deployment of Azure Cloud resources and configurations
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall Development Methodology
  • Experience working in a high paced environment with an emphasis on process improvements

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, information technology, business management, or related fields
