Location: Kent, WA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Technical Designer III This job will have the following responsibilities & Qualifications & Requirements:DESCRIPTION: As part of a team, you will be responsible to create and release models, drawings, and configurations of engine hardware with a focus on machined parts. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of design, analysis, assembly, testing and support of flight operations. Your passion for space vehicle support systems means you are committed to the necessary quality and attention to detail required to support human space flight. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Responsibilities Design and maintain component and assembly product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies Apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly Apply relevant company, industry (design, drafting, parts) standards to engineering designs Implement engineering and manufacturing best practices to achieve a balanced approach to cost, schedule and performance requirements Self-prioritize and self-schedule work activity in support of the team Qualifications 10+ years of design and drafting experience of structural parts, precision components, and subsystems using Creo/Wildfire/Pro-Engineer Proficient in Creo Piping Proficient in Windchill and Creo View Strong work ethic, high attention to detail and great communication skills Knowledge of fabrication and integration processes for machined components and welded assemblies Experience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings Proficient with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41, etc. Must = or national, U.S. permanent resident (current holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired 15+ years of design and drafting experience off structural parts, precision components, and subsystems using Creo/Wildfire/Pro-Engineer Working knowledge of materials, machine design, mechanisms and additive manufacturing (AM) techniques Experience in component/assembly level structural/thermal FEA Extensive practice in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) Rocket engine structural and fluid systems experience.
