DevOps EngineerJob Description:Micro Focus is seeking a talented and motivated individual to assume the role of DevOps engineer in the Identity and Access Management Engineering Department. We are looking for people with the right blend of skills, education, experience, and attitude to fill this exciting and challenging position. This is a great opportunity for the individual looking to get involved with cutting-edge technology in the Cloud Computing space, and the Identity and Access business.The successful candidate will have experience as a systems integrator working closely with software development, quality assurance, and information technology groups in the cloud services lifecycle. They should be able to work with minimal supervision and oversight in a distributed team; this requires collaboration and a willingness to answer questions, along with having excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to focus on problem resolution through completion.Ideal candidates will have worked in an entrepreneurial ecosystem and will be recognized fortheir ability to help the larger team provide solutions in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

  • Integrate, deploy, and manage cloud services, including host operating systems and software
  • Analyze performance of cloud services and provide diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Organize and prioritize work, enter and track defects, complete work in accordance with plans
  • Interact with customers, vendors, and partners, as well as QA, IT, and development teams
  • Research customer issues and product initiatives
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years' experience as a DevOps engineer with Software as a Service (SaaS)
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with virtualization using various hypervisors (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V)
  • Experience with Containerization and Microservices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of Linux administration
  • Familiarity with Load balancing, clusters, and building scalable systems
  • Programming skills in scripting languages (e.g., python, bash)
  • Experience setting up test environments and automating integration testing
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and issue isolation skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal English)
  • Must be able to assume project responsibility and deliver on milestones
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and completely with minimal oversight from supervisor
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
  • Experience with SCRUM or other Agile development processes (esp. SAFe)
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with provisioning and orchestration tools (e.g., Helm, Terraform, Terragrunt)
  • Experience with/Knowledge of the Identity and Security space
  • Understanding of Federation technologies: SAML, WS-Fed, etc.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing and fuzz testing
  • Experience with testing tools/frameworks (esp. Cypress)
  • Knowledge of system test performance paradigms
  • Database knowledge/experience is a plus
  • Programming skills in Java or other high-level language(s)
