Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Hackensack, NJ

Duration: 6 Months C2H

Position Summary: Data Consultant leads the transformation and organization of clinical and operationaldata, providing analytical insight to drive strategic decisions for the Client. They will design, build, optimize, and manage data and data processes from multiple data systems across various departments to support data-driven business goals.

Requirements:Graduate or postgraduate university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or 5 years equivalentwork experienceExpert experience with SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL ServerIntegration Services (SSIS)Expert experience with PythonExperience with project management and agile/scrum methodologiesExperience in data warehouse design (relational & dimensional modeling) and data miningIn-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL(Extract, Transform, Load) frameworkKnowledge in Java, Python, JSON, XML, NoSQL, or similarAdvanced knowledge in APIs (RESTful, SOAP)Familiarity with BI technologies (Looker, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative; high “figure-it-out” quotientAnalytical mind with a problem-solving aptitudeHealthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities:Translate business needs to technical specificationsWrite ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, designs database systems and develops tools forreal-time and offline analytic processingDesign, build and deploy BI solutions (reporting tools, visualizations)Maintain and support data analytics platformsArchitect, implement and deploy data marts and data models to support internal teams and other internalstakeholdersConduct unit testing and troubleshootingCollaborate with teams to integrate systemsDevelop and execute database queries and conduct analysesDevelop tools and libraries that will help team members more efficiently interface with huge amounts ofdataOptimize queries to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems using programming skills inPython, Java, or any of the major languagesDevelop and update technical documentationDevelop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to datapipelines, models and/or visualizationsIdentify issues and propose solutions, in coordination with other project team members or stakeholders,to mitigate issuesManage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the teamMaintain knowledge of state-of-the-art innovations in data science from both academic and industrysourcesExplore novel methods of retrieving, blending, and organizing data and develop innovativerecommendations.
