Find your future with us.IT Infrastructure and Operations is looking for a talented Solution Cloud Architect to lead a Architecture Services team that will help us design, develop and deploy architectural solutions on the External Enterprise Clouds (Azure Azure Gov, and Google)You will be on a team of technical architects that are responsible for developing and implementing architecture patterns designs, moving Customer applications and workloads into the External Cloud environments and providing technical support to all aspects of the external cloud. Your team will be accountable for Reference Architecture designs, the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience, and you will own the technical customer engagement including specific implementation projects and/or Proof of Concepts.Position Responsibilities:

  • Executing quick technical feasibility and proposal development for moving identified workloads to the external cloud
  • Determining technical feasibility of proposed designs and patterns for incorporation into the external cloud Reference Architecture
  • Building a technical and security architecture in the environment: incorporating into the Reference Architecture and leading efforts to help selected applications implement those architectures
  • Lead compliance assessments with the customer on designed Cloud architectures
  • Develop and select migration strategies and approaches to move existing applications and workloads to the external cloud or designing a Greenfield development and/or production platform for new applications
  • Support creation of policy and process documentation to ensure application design compliance and efficient operations of the cloud architecture program
  • Lead Improvements in the onboarding experience by developing, measuring and improving Architecture Services and maturing the overall external Cloud capabilities.
  • Represent Architecture Services priorities at program planning events and Senior Leadership program reviews
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 2+ years' experience developing software products in a cloud computing environment such as: Amazon EC2, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, etc.
  • Experience with System Integration and design principles including service oriented architecture principles and application integration patterns
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team of IT professionals
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience in database design/development
  • DevOps experience
  • Ability to facilitate discussions with technical team to drive improvement and efficiencies
  • Understanding of Micro Services
  • Experience in Value Stream Analysis and incremental process improvement methodologies
  • Experience in team building, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team members, and inspiring work groups through daily interactions
Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
