Title: Senior AWS DevOps Engineer (Remote) Job Description Looking for a fully remote Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing privately held health technology company whose mission is to make prescription drugs more affordable for everyone. They build technology platforms and data solutions that enable our customers to manage pharmacy benefits on behalf of their members, employees. They have saved our customers over $4B on prescription medications since 2015. As a Senior DevOps engineer you will lead DevOps projects being a stakeholder in all decision-making processes. You will be working in a hands-on position, but also be a part of the architecture team working on expanding and implementing new technology being used. - Developing, supporting and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines working closely with the Application Engineering teams
- Creating and helping maintain the underlying AWS infrastructure for all hosted applications and services
- Documenting troubleshooting steps/runbooks/procedures via an internal knowledge base - sharing information and knowledge among teams
- Provide architecture, solutions and implementation support for technical requirements using modern architectural approaches (containers, AWS tools, services and serverless approaches)
- Implement and support observability and alerting tools (ex. CloudWatch & New Relic) for proactive response to all technical issues
- Implement cloud and application security best practices
- Help grow and champion Infrastructure as Code approaches
- Troubleshoot problems & incidents
- Good knowledge of AWS components and services (EC2, VPC, CloudWatch, S3, IAM) as well as other components (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EMR) is also a plus.
- Networking knowledge including DNS, Security certificates, subnets, routing and VPC peering
- Comfort with a scripting language (Base, Python or PowerShell)
- Past software engineering experience or experience with Java, C# or JavaScript previously
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly
- CloudFormation, Terraform or AWS CDK experience
- Kubernetes and containerization experience, or the willingness to learn
- AWS Certifications are a plus
- Flexible, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
- Competitive Salary: 140-150k base
