Excellent Engineering Project Manager position available in Gloucester, MassachusettsA global electronics research & development organisation based in Gloucester, Massachusetts is seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Project Manager.They are looking for a self-motivated Engineering Project Manager who thrives in fast paced dynamic environments. They will be supporting the companies broad project, engineering, and technical goals and objectives. The Engineering Project Manager will create, manage, and drive the detailed planning and execution of product ramp and transfer to factories in North America and Abroad.The successful candidate for the Engineering Project Manager position will have a track record of a project planning, leadership, organizing, communicating and problem solving. You will also bring unique skills in leadership, analysis, critical thinking, resource, and risk management. The Engineering Project Manager will be able to manage multiple simultaneous workstreams, that are complex or high-risk and is able to develop recovery strategies for projects that stray from their plan.
Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Project Manager job:- Develop project plans and manage programs for product development, release, transfer, and ramp in factories, both domestic and overseas.
- Ensure that plans are carried out in accordance with the specified objectives and corporate standards for Product Development and Release
- Direct and coordinate program activities with cross functional team to resolve issues and hit agreed upon milestones.
- Work with manufacturing and sourcing to ensure all commitments are met for all project needs.
- Cost and spend tracking, BOM cost management, Vendor cost management.
- Work with multiple factory locations for product and subassembly release and ramp.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in a related discipline (e.g. EE, ME, etc.) required.
- 3+ years of engineering and/or Program Manager experience
- Ability to create a project schedule and plan
- Demonstrated ability of successfully managing complex projects in a cross-functional environment through product ramp
- Hands-on management of project plans, risk registers, action lists and stage-gate project files.
- Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects.
