Network Manager will report to the Senior Director, IT & Application Development. Works with team members, vendors, other staff, to support networking and hardware needs.This position oversees various services critical to the daily operations - including high-performance compute, storage and desktop infrastructure. Among the key duties of this position are the following:• Helps set up, design, purchase and configure new servers, network, file storage, wireless, etc when needed.• Initial set up and administration of Active Directory, Office 365, cloud storage, servers supporting websites and other tools.• Manages the delivery of technical support for network and system administration of the organization.• Supervises a technical staff comprised of one or two full-time staff members including hiring, performance appraisals and discipline when appropriate. Must also be willing to be hands on.• Responsible for projects, staff and budgets to ensure successful completion of all assigned tasks in a demanding, 24/7 production environment.• Investigates new technologies and makes decisions for the above services as well as make recommendations to the Director for all supported services.

PERFORMANCE GOALS:
  • Develops network infrastructure.
  • Helps staff desktop support, setting up standards and procedures to handle requests, issue reports and upgrades as needed.
  • Supports users in multiple work sites as well as remote users.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies, concepts and procedures as appropriate to requirements and support.
  • Works with staff and vendors to provide hardware (desktops, laptops, servers), network and email to staff.

COMPETENCIES: • Excellent communication skills, and computer literacy in the areas detailed below are critical.• Advanced understanding of the administration and deployment of Windows and Linux operating systems as well as storage systems.• Follow through/up skills; Ability to quickly troubleshoot issues• Working knowledge of Active Directory, system maintenance and imaging as pertains to the implementation of the above services.• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel, when necessary, to sites throughout New Jersey for business demands.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of information technology management principles and practices.
  • Requires a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with network, hardware and email adminstration.
  • Possess technical and/or application knowledge.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft and other vendor licensing and adminstration toolsets.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed application design specifications in the Ability to learn, integrate and utilize new technologies & information into your skill set quickly and independently as needed.
  • Able to train and direct desktop support staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • FISMA/HIPAA compliance experience (nice to have but not required)
  • Network and computer troubleshooting
  • Technical training and documentation
