Snowflake Developer / Architect

GoAhead Solutions has an immediate need for a Snowflake Developer/Architect in New York, NY. This would be a Six month contract to start out. Interview process would be phone and video. Position will require to be in the office and onsite 3 days out of the week.Job Description:Our Client is changing their core banking platform from one vendor to another. This migration modifies the existing data models and taxonomy significantly. We expect Snowflake Developer /Architect to perform thorough development between two vendor platforms, review the documentation provided by new vendor, prepare mapping documents, document the data anomalies and issues, assess the impact on existing user base, provide guidelines on how to migrate to new data models. The Snowflake Developer/Architect will closely work with various teams like Regulatory, Compliance, Operational, Accounting, Digital banking etc. and socialize the changes and solutions. Responsibilities:Migrating a few databases from SQL Server to Snowflake. As part of the migration, we are looking for someone with good snowflake database development skills. Having done migration from SQLServer/PostGres/Oracle to Snowflake is a huge plus. Required Skills:-2+ years of Snowflake experience with migrating workloads to Snowflake-Strong DBA/Database Development experience-Strong ETL/ELT experience.-Experience with some other popular database (SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, etc.)-Consuming/visualizing data from snowflake with a reporting tool (Excel, SSRS, Tableau).-Consulting with teams to assist with architecting replacement solutions with Snowflake.-Administering a Snowflake instance (Snowflake is a database as a service, so this would involve monitoring queries, monitoring Snowflake credit usage, configuring data replication for disaster recovery, etc)
