Our client, a worldwide leader and innovator in the food industry, is seeking a prolific Front End Engineer to join their team in Chicago. This role, starting out remote, is a 6 month initial contract with opportunity to extend/hire. You will be responsible for building out website applications from scratch and optimizing the experience for hundreds of thousands of customers. The ideal candidate, has a strong background in Front End Development (including Javascript, HTML, CSS), proficient in Vue.js or similar framework, and experience creating high-traffic e-commerce websites.
Required Skills & Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field
- 5+ years of experience with Javascript, HTML and CSS
- Strong professional experience with Vue.js (React.js or Angular acceptable)
- Must be willing to collaborate/work as team
Nice to have: - Leadership experience is a plus
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, grocery
- Passionate about technology and web development
- Passion for food - that's the end product for our customers
What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown - 100% Front End Development
Daily Responsibilities - 85% Hands-on work
- 15% Team Collaboration/Communication
The Offer - Competitive Pay: up to $75/hour, DOE
- Contract Duration: 6 months with option to extend/hire
